About

/* My name is Jake Estrada. I am a software engineer with a background that spans logistics operations, construction project management, embedded systems, and AI research. My work focuses on building software systems that connect real-world operations with intelligent automation. I began my career at UPS, where I spent eight years supervising warehouse operations and managing teams responsible for high-volume logistics workflows. That environment taught me how complex systems behave under real pressure and how operational failures impact people, safety, and business outcomes. I later joined San Clemente Woodworking, where I worked across fabrication, installation, sales, and project management for custom staircase construction. Over time I began introducing software tools to improve internal workflows, building spreadsheets and automation tools to reduce manual tracking and improve operational visibility. While continuing to work full-time, I returned to school to complete a degree in Computer Science. During that time I began building production software systems that addressed the operational problems I had experienced firsthand. This work led to the development of Paarth, a full-stack CRM and operations platform used to manage estimating, contracts, scheduling, and job tracking for real construction projects. I later founded Liminal Innovations and Technology to formalize this engineering work. Through LIT I design and build full-stack systems, backend APIs, and automation tools that streamline operational processes for small businesses. My engineering work has also expanded into robotics and AI systems. As part of my research internship with WorkFar Robotics, I study Vision-Language-Action architectures and multimodal transformer models that combine visual input and language instructions for robotic control systems. I am particularly interested in systems that bridge physical environments and software — including robotics pipelines, embedded hardware integrations, and software platforms that remove friction from real-world operations. */
